Mixed-use is a term used to describe multi-functional space, be it a mixture of buildings of different uses within a development or a mix of uses in a single building. Although a building is mixed-use if it has two uses, many developments fall within this category. Mixed-use buildings contain a combination of uses within one building, for example office, residential or retail.
